Islamabad (Pakistan Time)The National disaster management authority (NDMA) has issued an alert in view of possible bad weather conditions across the country.

According to the National Emergency Operation Center, strong winds, wind and thunderstorms are likely in most areas during the next 12 to 24 hours, while snowfall is likely in mountainous areas.

According to the NDMA, strong winds, lightning and hail can damage weak structures, standing crops and electrical installations.

The agency has warned that roads may become slippery due to rain, which is likely to affect the flow of traffic, while snowfall in mountainous areas may cause road closures and difficulties in transportation.

Furthermore, the risk of landslides in mountainous areas has also increased due to continuous rains.

The NDMA spokesperson has advised citizens to avoid unnecessary travel, drive carefully and follow weather instructions, while staying away from trees, vulnerable buildings and installations during strong winds and storms.
