LAHORE (NEWS DESK) Head of the Islami Jamhoori Ittehad Pakistan and Ameer of Markazi Jamiat Ahle Hadith Pakistan, Allama Zubair Ahmed Zaheer, has strongly condemned attacks on Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries, particularly those targeting civilian infrastructure, describing such actions as unacceptable and calling on Muslim countries to strengthen unity, mutual respect and collective security.
Addressing a meeting of the Central Executive Committee of the Islami Jamhoori Ittehad Pakistan in Lahore, Allama Zubair Ahmed Zaheer said the sovereignty, territorial integrity and security of every Muslim country must be respected. He stressed that disputes should be resolved through dialogue, diplomacy and peaceful means while adhering to international law.
He said the prevailing regional situation had highlighted the urgent need for greater cooperation among Muslim countries. According to him, the security of one Muslim state should be viewed as a matter of collective concern for the wider Muslim world, rather than as an isolated national issue.
Allama Zubair Ahmed Zaheer called for an end to tensions and conflicts among Muslim countries, urging governments to prioritize cooperation, tolerance and common interests. He warned that actions that deepen divisions within the Muslim world could undermine collective efforts to address major regional and international challenges.
He further said that joining the Makkah Defence Pact could provide Muslim countries with an important framework for closer security cooperation and collective action. He emphasized that the protection of the Holy Mosques, the security of Muslim states and support for the freedom of Palestine required a unified and principled position from the Muslim world.
“Muslim countries must demonstrate complete solidarity with Saudi Arabia and other neighboring states in matters concerning regional security,” he said, adding that the interests of the Muslim Ummah demanded unity rather than confrontation and division.
The meeting also discussed the prevailing regional and international situation, challenges facing Muslim countries and the need to strengthen cooperation among Islamic states. Dr. Professor Naeem Hafeez, Maulana Abdul Sattar Niazi, prominent business leader Hakeemullah Rakha, Allama Fayyaz Ahmed Salafi, Mian Muhammad Asghar and Maulana Hanzala Farooqi also addressed the meeting.
In his concluding remarks, Allama Zubair Ahmed Zaheer reaffirmed the Islami Jamhoori Ittehad Pakistan’s full support for the Makkah Defence Pact. He said that if Muslim countries joined hands on the basis of mutual trust, collective interests and shared responsibility, the pact could emerge as a historic initiative for strengthening unity, security and cooperation across the Muslim world.
