In the press conference, Chief Minister Sohail Afridi accused the federal government of ignoring the financial and constitutional rights of the province and said that Rs 1375 billion is not being paid to the province under NFC and the constitution is being openly violated. The case of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the people of Pakistan was presented in several meetings with the federal government, but the province is not being given its legitimate right. According to the NFC award, resources should be distributed among the four provinces, but this is not being implemented. Chief Minister Sohail Afridi said that the former FATA has not yet been fully integrated into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa economically and the people of the affected areas are also not getting their rights. The provincial government is providing financial assistance to those displaced due to military operations from its own resources and Rs 15 billion has been spent on this so far. He claimed that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa suffered billions of rupees in the recent devastating floods, but the federal government has not provided any financial assistance.
